Travel Planning
Now is the time to plan your flight to Guatemala. Guatemala City (airport code GUA) is the only international airport serving the country. Volunteers are responsible for making their own flight arrangements to and from Guatemala. Shuttles between the airport and Antigua, about 90 minutes away, will be arranged for you. Additional ground and hotel information will be sent to you in January.

United, American, Delta and AeroMexico are the main airlines that fly into the country. For two-week volunteers, please schedule your arrival for the evening of Friday, January 24 and your departure for the morning of Saturday, February 8 - unless you are planning to spend extra time touring the country. Week 1 volunteers should plan to check-out on Saturday, February 1.
Important If you are bringing medical supplies to Guatemala, they must be declared BEFORE arrival. Please check your Inbox in the coming week for information and forms.

Your flight information is very important for arranging ground transportation. After booking your flight, please send:
-
the name of the airline you are arriving on
-
flight number
-
the arrival and departure dates and times
Send this information to: medicostravel@gmail.com

Thank you
